The game was close the first three quarters, but after a huge run bySouth Sudan, the team never looked back.Carlik Jones led South Sudan in a huge second half, with 19 points for the game. MarialShayok notched 15 points for South Sudan as well.Jose Alverado, a guard for the New Orleans Pelicans, was red-hot for Puerto Rico with26 points, with three 3-pointers. After a dominant second half from South Sudan though, itwasn’t enough to pull through. South Sudan has been attracting huge attention from basketball fans around the world.This win is after a shocking thriller game against Team USA, which they would only lose by onepoint. South Sudan now looks to face Team USA again this Tuesday in the Olympic qualifier.
